*THE HUNDRED MENS COMPETITION- LONDON SPIRITS VS TRENT ROCKETS MATCH 16- 2023 PREVIEW*
*THE BUILD UP:*
The London Spirits are one team which have been deeply impacted by rain ruining their chances. In the three games that they have contested in so far, they have two “no results” with a loss to go along with it. Daniel Lawrence and his men have had a tough start to the competition and the miraculous Sunil Narine ending was only seen as a wound. But they do have an opportunity to set things right with a win now against the Rockets who have given FairPlay to all aspects of the result making so far. A win against the Southern Brave, a no result against the Phoenix and a close loss to the Superchargers by a mere 3 runs.
I’m excited to watch the return of Joe root to the 100 ball setup. He did appear in the last game but couldn’t quite get going as he departed for a 8 ball 4 run knock. His batting post the Bazball era has rocketed to an entirely different level and it only makes sense why his presence will be catchy.
*TRENT ROCKETS PROBABLE XI:*
Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Colin Munro, Joe Root, Kohler-Cadmore(wk), Sam Hain, Daniel Sams, Lewis Gregory(c), Imad Wasim, Luke Wood, Sam Cook
Imad Wasim with his slingy quick arm action has been a phenomenal player over the last few months. His credentials have also risen and he has managed to keep the scoring under check. From time to time, the Pakistani allrounder has been rewarded for his stunning persistence and consistency and he would look to keep the opposition batters quite even tomorrow.
The duo of Luke Wood and Sam Cook support each other nicely on all fronts. Both bowl quick and with the different angles that they offer, the batters are most certainly put under the pump. Following his three fer, the 28 year old Luke Wood would aim for generating some rockets again and to get the Spirits who are yet to register a win, under pump. His intensity when he cloaks 90mph + will be closely watched.
*LONDON SPIRITS PROBABLE XI:*
Daniel Lawrence (c), Adam Rossington (wk), Zak Crawley, Matthew Wade, Daryl Mitchell, Ravi Bopara, Matthew Critchley, Jordan Thompson, Liam Dawson, Nathan Ellis, Daniel Worrall
Openers Adam Rossington and Lawrence have looked good, and they need to provide the side with a confident start in this game. The presence of Zak at 3 is a good one with the Englishmen enjoying the form of his life and he would look to anchor well with his proactive stroke making.
The Rockets are a powerful batting group and hold the ability to make these bunch of folks clueless soon so the likes of Thompson and Worrall with their experience would be required to make early strikes and get Spirits back on track. Excited to watch Ellis work his magic as Liam Dawson looks to restrict the scoring from one end.
*MY PREDICTIONS:*

Highest wicket taker- Nathan Ellis/Daniel Worrall
*FOR ROCKETS:*
