Match 39 of BBL 2020-21
HEA vs REN
Brisbane Heat vs Melbourne Renegades
Venue - Manuka Oval, Canberra
Date and Time - 14th January, 1:45 PM

With both match winners Mujeeb and Nabi out for their International tour against Ireland, both these teams will lock horns against each other to stay alive on the points table.

Although the Heat are at a much better position on the table, but still are placed 6th. Renegades on the other hand are still last with just 2 wins to their name.
Shaun Marsh is expected to come back into the side which could boost their batting at the top order, especially with Finch having a really bad time with the bat. But with Nabi out, Prestwidge, Webster, McGurk and Wasim would have to take the middle order responsibility and be able to play a crucial knock depending on the situation.

For the Heat, Mujeeb's absence would make a huge difference as he has been their strike bowler and was consistently bowling economically and picking wickets at crucial intervals. But, the addition of Morne Morkel in place of him could boost their already strong pace attack. With the likes of Steketee, Bartlett, Gregory, Bazley and Wildermuth already there in the XI, Morkel's addition would hugely boost the pace attack but completely negate the option of spin unless Denly is given the ball. So, either they opt for Kuhnemann and Morkel in for Mujeeb and Bartlett, or just make the one change.

*Probable XIs*

Brisbane Heat - Chris Lynn(C), Max Bryant, Joe Denly, Joe Burns, Jimmy Peirson(Wk), Lewis Gregory, James Bazley, Jack Wildermuth, Xavier Bartlett, Morne Morkell, Mark Steketee

X Factor Players - Ben Laughlin, Matthew Kuhnemann

Melbourne Renegades - Aaron Finch(C), Shaun Marsh, Sam Harper(Wk), Beau Webster, Jake Fraser McGurk, Jack Prestwidge, Imad Wasim, Kane Richardson, Peter Hatzgolou, Josh Lalor, Noor Ahmad

X Factor Players - Mackenzie Harvey, Will Sutherland

*Fantasy Tips*

Key players - Marsh, Lynn, Gregory, Steketee, Richardson, Finch(Hit or miss)
Punt picks - Hatzoglou, Wildermuth, Prestwidge, Harper, Bryant, Bartlett, Peirson
GL Picks - Denly, Burns, Wasim, Morkel, Bazley

The pitch would be the same as the game between the Sixers and the Thunders. That pitch saw a lot of turn on the wicket with Pope, Keefe and Sangha all having picked atleast one wicket. Hence, Hatzoglou and Wasim could be punt picks from the Renegades. If Kuhnemann or any spinner is played by the Heat, then they could also be tried in GL.

*My Fantasy Team*

Wk - Harper
Bat - Marsh, Bryant, Lynn
AR - Wasim, Gregory, Prestwidge, Wildermuth
Bowl - Steketee, Morkel/Hatzoglou, Richardson

*Safe C/VC choices for Small League Teams*

Chris Lynn, Lewis Gregory and Shaun Marsh are safe choices for your teams and can be tried out as C/VC in SL teams.

*C/VC choices for Grand League Teams*

Aaron Finch, Sam Harper, Jack Prestwidge, Mark Steketee and Jack Wildermuth could be good prospective choices to be tried out as C/VC in GL teams.
