Perth Scorchers vs Brisbane Heat (44th match of BBL)

  1. Current Performance: Perth Scorchers lost their last game after winning five games on the trot & will be looking to bounce back in this game to stay in contention for a play-off spot in the jammed points table. Munro is in excellent form with the bat scoring three fifties in the last four games. Livingstone too scored back to back fifties. If Roy somehow manages to get back on track with his bat, Scorchers will look solid. Jhye Richardson has been a revelation in this year’s Big Bash as he has already bagged 19 wickets to his name. Behrendorff’s opening spells & Tye’s middle & death overs are also handy. Fawad Ahmed also picks up wickets with his leg spin. The unavailability of Mitchell Marsh will certainly impact the balance of the side. However it may increase the fantasy value of Aaron Hardie as he might chip in some more overs than usual.

Brisbane Heat has won five of their ten games in the tournament. Lynn is scoring consistently for the last four matches, whereas Burns & Denly have chipped in with some contributions. The bowling of Mark Steketee has been excellent, whereas Jack Wildermuth has also bowled some very good spells. The arrival of Morne Morkel is also a big positive for this side.
