• Preview: Netherlands won the first game of the series by 1 run. Ireland won the second game convincingly by 8 wickets. Now everything is to be played for in the series decider. The momentum is with Ireland and they are the favourites to win. Yet, Netherlands can be unpredictable in the home conditions.

• Observations:

1. Max o Dowd looked in good touch and so was Myburgh. Scott Edwards looked promising. However, the X Factor was missing in Netherland’s batting.
2. Klaassen is a good pick among the bowlers as he swung the ball in to the Irish batsmen but was unlucky. His left arm angle made it difficult to attack him.
3. Stirling looked in decent touch once again in the run chase. Balbirne too looked in good form. Tector too looked solid at his stay.
4. Young and Little bowled beautifully especially Little who swung the ball into the right-handed batsmen with his left arm angle.
5. Porterfield looked out of touch and could be replaced with Kevin O Brien in the series decider.
6. The pitch looked slower in the 2^nd ODI and unless a fresh strip is provided it is expected to stay the same. The outfield too looked very slow and the batsmen had to run a lot of 1s and 2s.
