*THE MENS HUNDRED COMPETITION- NORTHERN SUPERCHARGERS VS OVAL INVINCIBLES MATCH 15 2023 PREVIEW*
*THE BUILD UP:*
This competition is only getting wild as time passes by and what better than to have two exciting power packed sides who are at their peak of the powers, contest and give the fans one heck of a match. Yes, you guessed it right- it is the Oval Invincibles clashing against the Northern Superchargers with the former being right at the top and the latter closely following them up with similar points, placed at No2. While the Invincibles have struck the chords right throughout, they still tied a game they had in their grasp. Slipping away of games can hurt in the long run.
The Superchargers on the other hand have alot to be proud about. Their opener was spoiled totally by the rain where a no result occurred but they were brave enough to not sulk and win back to back games, one by a big margin and then coming on top vs the Rockets by a mere 3 runs. It’s victories like these which end up lifting up the morale in an extremely tight competition.
*NORTHERN SUPERCHARGERS PROBABLE XI:*
Tom Banton, Matt Short, Harry Brook, Adam Hose, Saif Zaib, David Wiese, Brydon Carse, Wayne Parnell, Adil Rashid, Reece Topley, Callum Parkinson
The skill and expertise of Reece Topley and Adil Rashid, as well as the experience of Wayne Parnell and David Wiese, will be crucial in how Superchargers navigate this game; they will need to restrict the Invincibles incredibly destructive top order of Roy, Jacks, and Klaasen as much as possible.
The onus (a big one) will undoubtedly be on Harry Brook to help his side build on after the kind of form that Spencer is enjoying. Brook plays spin and pace both, mighty well and it only bodes well why the team and the fans would bank upon him to deliver again and make the stage his very own.
*OVAL INVINCIBLES PROBABLE XI:*
Jason Roy, Will Jacks, Heinrich Klaasen, Sam Curran, Jordan Cox, Sam Billings, Ross Whiteley, Sunil Narine, Spencer Johnson, Gus Atkinson, Nathan Sowter
Spencer Johnson lit up the stage last game. His stats were outrageously unbelievable and we were all stunned by his progress first up. The 27 year old gave away just a single run for the 20 balls he bowled with 19 dots and ended up with three wickets in his kitty as well. It speaks well about the kind of form that he’s in that he isn’t even leaking runs and still picking up wickets for fun. He will pose threats to the Superchargers batting lineup, which is a strong one and holds the ability to go downtown.
The Oval Invincibles have a reliable top and middle order. They have all the keys to the tank and with the presence of Klaasen who has been giving nightmares to the bowlers, there’s some power as well. Their top 3 has been among the runs and they score quickly as well. Looking forward to watching the duo of Will Jacks and Klaasen take the matters into their own hands and deliver.
